Ring Resizing
Ring Resizing
Because every ring is made differently, resizing isn’t always straightforward. I assess resizing on a case-by-case basis and I’m always happy to advise before you send your ring back — just get in touch with a photo and your requested size.
Rings I can resize
Some rings can be resized a couple sizes up or down by me in my studio, depending on the design. I’m most likely able to resize plain bands and strong bands with bezel-set stones (design-dependent).
One free resize
I normally offer one free resize per ring. The first resize is free of charge; you’ll just need to cover postage to and from my studio. Please note: the free resize policy applies to standard resizing only and does not apply to ring remakes.
Flush-set (gypsy-set) rings
Flush-set rings aren’t usually suitable for resizing in my studio because the stones are set directly into the metal. The best option is often to remake the ring in the correct size. Remaking involves creating a new band and re-setting the stones, so this work is chargeable and quoted individually.
In some cases, a specialist in ring resizing and stone setting may be able to resize a flush-set ring. This is advanced work and isn’t something I offer in-house, but I’m happy to discuss whether this could be an option for your specific ring.
Local jeweller option
Depending on the ring style, it may sometimes be quicker and easier to visit a trusted local jeweller for resizing.
